Valid Structured Data — Positive Control

Seven complete, syntactically valid JSON-LD blocks, including a Product with a full Offer and a LocalBusiness with a full AggregateRating. Schema checks for these types should pass, while every other expected schema type stays absent so the crawler can report it as missing.

Schemas present on this page7 should pass

  • Organization — name, url, logo, address, contactPoint and sameAs all supplied.
  • WebSite — includes potentialAction / SearchAction, so the SiteLinks Search Box check passes.
  • BreadcrumbList — three ListItem entries with position, name and item.
  • Article — author, publisher, datePublished, dateModified, image and mainEntityOfPage present.
  • FAQPage — mainEntity holds three Question / acceptedAnswer pairs.
  • Product — nested Offer carries price, priceCurrency, availability, itemCondition and priceValidUntil.
  • LocalBusiness — address, geo, openingHoursSpecification and a complete AggregateRating (ratingValue, ratingCount, reviewCount).

Schemas deliberately withheld12 should report missing

None of the types below appear in any application/ld+json block on this page. A correct scanner reports each one as a missing-schema issue rather than silently passing the page.

Note: Person and ImageObject do appear as nested values (the Article author and the Organization logo), because those properties require them. Neither exists as a top-level node, so a scanner that only credits top-level @type declarations should still report both as missing.

  • VideoObject
  • JobPosting

How Valid JSON-LD Earns Rich Results

By Dr. Priya Nair · Published 18 May 2026 · Updated 2 July 2026

Rich results are not granted for markup that merely parses. Google requires the type's required properties to be present, the values to match what a reader sees on the page, and the page itself to be indexable. The Article block on this page therefore carries an author, a publisher referencing the Organization node by @id, and both datePublished and dateModified.

The same rule applies to the breadcrumb trail above: the visible hierarchy and the BreadcrumbList itemListElement list the same three steps in the same order. Where the schema and the rendered content disagree, the markup is treated as spam rather than as a signal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which schema types does this page publish?
This page publishes Organization, WebSite, BreadcrumbList, Article, FAQPage, Product and LocalBusiness JSON-LD. Each block is complete and uses only valid Schema.org properties, including the nested Offer and AggregateRating objects.
Why are Event and VideoObject schema missing?
They are omitted on purpose. The scanner should detect the seven schema types that are present and still report Event, VideoObject, JobPosting, HowTo, Review and the other absent types as missing.
Does JSON-LD have to appear in the document head?
No. Google reads application/ld+json from either the head or the body, so a parser must scan the whole document rather than the head alone.

Negative counterpart: /structured-data carries the same schema types with required properties removed.
